Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 offers a communications platform for enterprises, that connects all co-workers and their knowledge.

Co-workers can access emails, voice mails, calendars and contacts from anywhere and in doing so use a multitude of clients and terminals.

But to use this abundance of functionality also remote via traditional telephony, Exchange has to be connected to the PSTN net. Exchange 2007 itself in its current product suite doesn't allow for a direct possibility, but uses external gateways.

With the aid of our proprietary MS Exchange 2007 Connector; Asterina can smoothly be connected with a Microsoft Exchange 2007 Server to fully use its functionality concerning UMS. Asterina then acts as telephony border gateway for the Microsoft infrastructure.

This proprietary connector runs separately from Exchange 2007, so no additional software on Exchange 2007 is necessary or even has to be imported.
