• Once again avalaris is participating at the annual Linuxwochen, the "Austrian Open Source Roadshow". It is taking place from Apr. 16th until Apr. 18th, 2009 at the Vienna City Hall.   • The self-made MS Exchange Connector enables the connection of Asterina with MS Exchange 2007 and therefore supports the available UMS functions. With the OCS-connector it is possible to use the Asterina as a telephony bordergateway for the Microsoft infrastructure. Details can be found in the Asterina feature-list.

  • The "Austrian Open Source Roadshow" Linuxwochen is in Vienna again and Avalaris is once again part of it! From May 31st until Jun 2th, 2007 you can visit us at our info-point in front of the middle hall, and we will inform you about our VoIP solutions. Friday, Jun 1st, 2007 we will additionally have two presentations addressing "Fax and VoIP" (Ivona Miletic) and "The development of our VoIP vision" (Marcel Moczo).   • After an eventful summer, in which we could prove our qualification once more in new projects, we are ready for autumn, to come up with exciting extensions and possibilities for Asterina: The Asterina Nano has now 4active-ISDN-channels (4xSO) and is thereby even more flexible.   • Another version of our compact VoIP solutions is now available: The Asterina Extended including all features and advantages, is now also available as Rackmount-version in 1HE and 2HE (raid) variaties.
  • This year at the Linuxwochen in Vienna, we will not only have our usual info-point but also presentations by two of our appreciated employees, Pamela Weis and Marcel Mozco. It is taking place from the May 31st until Jun. 2th, 2006 at the "Urania" in Vienna. The presentations will be:

  • With technical support by Avalaris, Meta Communication presents the "Meta Spoken News Service" at the CeBIT 2006 in Hanover. The "Meta Spoken News Service" is a Voicebox, from which a customer can obtain his current press review via VoIP, at any time.
  • Avalaris in the middle of the happening at the ITnT 2006: High interest for our 4 VoIP solutions. The Asterina concept of a noiseless, fanless and low maintenance VoIP-PBX, with a high range of extension possibilities, seemed to attract the interest of customers who where pleased to find an appealing and flexible alternative to usual telephony boxes. The design of the Asterina Supreme and its smaller version the Asterina Nano, got great attention as well.
  • Our newest VoIP solution, the Asterina Nano and the Asterina Supreme will have their debut this year on the annual ITnT. The ITnT Austrias biggest information technology and telecommunication fair, is taking place from the Feb. 14th until Feb 16th, 2006, in the "MessezentrumWienNeu."   • "Open Source software Aktionstage 2005": Organized by Avalaris, the Second "Aktionstag" sponsored by the Open Source Software Plattform of the OCG, takes place on the 27th April, 2005 with the emphasis on "Open Source and its role in Communication". Speakers are Dipl.Ing. (FH) Pamela Weis (Avalaris) and Dipl.Ing. (FH) Kurt Bauer (University of Vienna) looking into Asterisk as well as Dipl.Inf. Dietmar Staudinger explaining Jabber.   • Avalaris implements and attends the DIP-Server (Design-Info-Pool) at the Museum of Applied Arts (MAK) operated on an Open Source platform.
  • Avalaris is represented on the Linuxwochen 2004 at the "Museumsquartier" in Vienna between 26.05.2005 and 28.05.2004. You find us at the booth of the Open Source Experts Group.
  • Implementation of a web application for ELK-Fertighaus AG.  Elk's customers will now have the possibility to choose the outfit of their Prefab House with the aid of a special sampling software especially designed and implemented by Avalaris.
  • The collaboration within the scope of the Austrian VoIP Initiative AT43 together with the University of Vienna and the ISP ATNET enables Avalaris to gain SIP cutting edge knowledge.
  • Our partnership with the European VoIP specialist innovaphone enables Avalaris to provide specialized and substantial services in the area of VoIP.
  • Avalaris carried out a questionnaire dealing with IT convergence and Mac OS X. We interviewed the Top500-, advertising and design companies, printing shops and other Mac specific enterprises in Austria.
  • Introducing a company-wide WLAN at the biotech corporation Igeneon. The WLAN grid consists of 3 stories and around 1370 m² floor space in a hybrid environment of office and lab utilization.
